Join IDC, the world leader in tech market research!  We have an exciting Research Analyst opportunity for people passionate about marketing and marketing projects, who can help contribute to our CMO Advisory practice.

In this role managing research projects, you will meet regularly with CMOs and their marketing operations staff, and you will be conducting interviews, managing surveys, gathering data, and providing analysis.  The ideal candidate has hands-on experience as a marketing practitioner and must love marketing and data!

  • Project manage surveys including recruitment of survey participants
  • Data gathering and analysis
  • Conduct interviews
  • Prepare and write research reports
  • Day-to-day client support including responding to client inquiry
  • Meet regularly with CMO's and their marketing operations staff to provide research and guidance
  • Support the communications, delivery, and expansion of the service
  • Participate in social media and other promotional activities on behalf of the service


  • hands on experience as a marketing practitioner preferred
  • 3 + years total relevant work experience
  • Self-sufficient, work independently, as well as collaboratively
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and social media, communication skills
  • Organized, and enjoy a balance of work between working with people, including the public, and with very detailed information and data
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel is mandatory
  • Advanced capabilities in analysis are a plus
  • BA/BS required – Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Based out of IDC's Framingham, MA office
  • 10-20% travel required
