Overview

IDC's Latin America Sales team is seeking an Account Executive to join our IDC Miami team to increase market penetration through expansion of current products within the assigned LATAM sales territory and to identify new business opportunities in global companies in medium and large-sized corporations outside the ICT industry.   

Responsibilities

  • The Account Executive will be responsible for generating revenue in both renewal and new sales, and consulting opportunities to prospects and existing accounts.
  • As a member of a collaborative team, the AE will be responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of IDC products and services, as well as building strong relationships with individuals across IDC. 
  • The individual will prospect for incremental opportunities, follow up on proposal generation, respond to client requests for information and/or problems, and continue to enhance the client value proposition.
  • The successful candidate will:

    • Have the ability to sell over the phone and face to face, with a proven track record in identifying and developing new prospects, cold calling, face to face meetings, and database building for campaigns
    • Demonstrate strong presentation and writing skills, and will continue to nurture a high level of client satisfaction & with high frequency of face to face meetings with Latin America clients
    • Maintain an appropriate incremental sales pipeline to achieve account enrichment goals and new business opportunities
    • Understand the changing business and technology issues and needs facing our client base – and produce accurate and timely forecasts
    • Design research campaigns to increase revenues in this territory and align account strategy with support of other account managers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and MBA preferred. Strong command of English & Portuguese required
  • Requirements for the position include 4-6 years of sales experience, or client focused support role, along with strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • 4-5 years of market intelligence sales in the market research space is strongly desired
  • Strong telephone cold calling experience preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing existing accounts and developing high level relationships
  • Additionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as be a self-starter and a quick-thinker. This position requires strong time management and organization skills
  • This position will be based in IDC Latin America's Miami, FL office
  • Position will require approximately 30% travel
