The Account Executive is an outside sales position focused new business with prospect accounts, as well on client retention and growth through new products and services.

 

The territory for this role includes specific accounts with approximately $1.0M quota. 

 

This position is located in the Austin, TX area.

Responsibilities

  • Work with C-level executives to align IDC’s value with client’s strategy.
  • Account management with outcome of increased customer satisfaction and increase in retention & account growth
  • Proficiency in account planning and territory management
  • Accurate monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting
  • Learn IDC products and services, that align with your territory, accounts and competitors.

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Strong telephone cold calling experience preferred. Prior experience selling an intangible product or service is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing existing accounts and developing high level relationships.
  • Additionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as be a self-starter and a quick-thinker.
  • This position requires strong time management and organization skills.
  • Prior market research industry sales experience is helpful, but not required.
  • This position will require approximately 20% travel.
