    IDC is looking for a Sales Director / Global Account Manager who will focus on selling IDC research products and consulting engagements to a large global account. This position will report to the GVP/GM, Enterprise Major Account Sales.

    • This position involves global sales responsibility across all IDC product categories, syndicated and custom, for one of IDC’s largest major global accounts. 
    • The right candidate will be adept at managing large, complex, annual contracts, which includes both new business development and a renewal base. 
    • As a member of a collaborative team, the Sales Director will be responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of IDC products and services, as well as building strong relationships with analysts and consulting directors across IDC.


    • 10+ years of sales experience 
    • Bachelor’s degree, MBA is a plus
    • Prior experience selling an intangible product or service is a plus
    • High tech background preferred 
    • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing existing accounts and developing high level relationships
    • Additionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, and a stategic thinker
    • This position will require approximately 25 - 30 % travel
    • Seattle-area candidates preferred, but will consider other West Coast locations
