IDC’s Enterprise Financial Sales team is seeking a Sales Director who will focus on selling IDC’s research products and custom solutions to financial services companies in the asset management industry including hedge funds, mutual funds, and other investment firms. This position will report to the GVP, Enterprise Financial Sales.
As a member of a global collaborative sales team, the Sales Director will be responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of IDC products and services, as well as building strong relationships with individuals across IDC.
The Sales Director will work with sales colleagues and will be responsible for learning and articulating the value proposition IDC brings to the investment financial community.
The individual will prospect for new business opportunities, follow up on proposal generation, respond to client requests for information and/or problems, and continue to enhance the IDC brand.
This is a quota carrying position.
7-10 years of demonstrated sales success, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skill set and passion for developing new business revenue and developing high level relationships.
Additionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as be a self-starter and a quick-thinker.
Strong time management and organization skills.
Prior market research industry sales experience and knowledge of the financial services investment ecosystem is highly desirable.
Buy-side sales experience preferred.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred.
This position is based out of Framingham office and will require approximately 35% travel.
