  • Overview

    IDC, the global leader in technology market research, is looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our West Coast Emerging Technology Vendor Sales team.

     

    The Account Executive, Emerging Technology Vendor Sales will be responsible for selling into new technology vendor accounts.  Annual account target is 10 to 15 new clients. 

     

    The position is based in San Mateo, CA

    Responsibilities

    • Prospect and close appropriate new business prospects from a wide array of new technology clients in the West Coast territory
    • Meet all minimum activity requirements (e.g. average 30 phone calls and 30 "show me you know me" emails daily)

    • Enter all activities in SalesForce.com

    • Minimum of 12 in person meetings - where applicable geographically

    • Learn IDC products and services, that align with your territory, accounts and competitors
    • The ideal Account Executive is passionate about bringing on new clients and help them better understand the tech marketspace through IDC's market research and Custom Solutions

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
    • 2+ years of sales experience in a technology environment
    • Strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills
    • High emotional intelligence
    • Database management (SalesForce.com)
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • 20-30% travel
