Overview

 

IDC is seeking an Associate Client Relationship Manager to join the company's growing proprietary and customized Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) research offering to the financial services community. IDC's Investment research team works directly with many of the world's premier sell-side firms, hedge funds, mutual funds, venture capital firms and private equity funds in providing fundamental research support to their analysts. The Associate CRM's primary responsibilities will include providing clients with best-in-class customer service in support of their research projects.

Responsibilities

 

The Associate Client Relationship Manager position will include specific research and client service responsibilities focused on supporting the research needs of sell-side, buy-side, VC and private equity institutions. Ongoing activities will include the following:

 

  • Handling incoming research requests from clients using IDC research and resources
  • Create strong partnerships with clients; building credibility by being responsive, diligent, and relevant
  • Coordinate research calls, in-person meetings and custom projects with financial clients and IDC analysts
  • Cultivate relationships with IDC research analysts and the financial services sales team
  • Data entry to log client interactions into internal system
  • Assisting with any special projects that arise
  • Serve as an overall team player supporting clients and colleagues in a very collaborative environment

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant client facing experience
  • A strong understanding of the research needs of the investment community as well as a strong interest in technology
  • Time management skills, especially when it comes to managing multiple client inquiries Positive perspective and a good sense of humor
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Software proficiency (e.g. Microsoft Office programs, Canva, PowerBI)


This position is based in Needham, MA and utilizes a Hybrid work model and includes limited travel outside of Needham.

At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $55,000 and $65,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable). Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner.
