Overview

IDC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Paid Media Specialist to join our growing digital marketing team. The right candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing paid media campaigns across various platforms, driving qualified traffic, and helping to achieve strategic business objectives. This role requires a data-driven approach, strong understanding of paid media best practices, and the ability to think creatively.

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Strategy & Management: Develop and manage comprehensive paid media strategies, including ABM programs, across platforms such as Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), LinkedIn Ads, and others as relevant to the business. This includes defining target audiences and account lists, developing personalized messaging, and orchestrating multi-channel campaigns.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics (e.g., CTR, CPA, ROAS, Conversion Rate, Engagement Rate within target accounts) to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization. Provide regular reports to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations. This includes tracking account engagement and progression through the marketing and sales funnel.
  • Budget Management: Oversee budget allocation and spend across all campaigns, including ABM initiatives, to ensure maximum ROI while adhering to financial guidelines. Forecast budget needs and track spending effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with creative, product, content, and sales teams to develop compelling ad copy, visuals, and personalized content that align with campaign objectives, brand guidelines, and ABM strategies. Provide creative briefs and feedback to ensure impactful ad assets. Work closely with sales to align on target account lists and personalize outreach efforts.
  • Audience Targeting: Utilize audience segmentation and targeting strategies (e.g., demographic, interest-based, retargeting, account-based targeting) to reach specific demographics and target accounts effectively and maximize campaign relevance.
  • A/B Testing: Design and implement A/B tests to optimize ad performance and improve conversion rates. Analyze results and iterate on campaign elements based on data-driven insights. Apply A/B testing principles to ABM campaigns, testing different messaging and creative approaches for target accounts.Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends in digital marketing, paid media strategies, and ABM best practices, including platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies, to ensure our campaigns remain competitive and innovative.
  • Platform Management: Manage and maintain accounts on various advertising platforms, ensuring compliance with platform policies and best practices.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare and deliver regular reports on campaign performance, providing clear and concise insights to stakeholders. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of proven experience in paid media management or digital marketing. Experience with retargeting and ABM programs is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in paid media platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager). Experience with other platforms (e.g., Reddit Ads, content syndication, programmatic advertising) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using analytics tools (Looker Studio, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Tag Manager, platform-specific analytics dashboards).
  • Strong organizational, project management, skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with A/B testing and other optimization techniques.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ABM platforms and tools (e.g., Demandbase, 6sense) is a plus.

 

This role can be located remotely in the US east coast region or Canada. If candidate is  located in the GTA, candidate will need to work a hybrid work schedule.  Candidate may work remote if located in Ontario, BC, Alberta or Nova Scotia.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $80,000 and $90,000 (USD) and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
