Overview

IDC is seeking a  Contract Pricing Analyst.  As a Pricing Analyst contractor, you will play a pivotal role in executing high-impact pricing initiatives that directly influence IDG's revenues, profitability and market position.  This short-term, contract-based opportunity is ideal for an experienced pricing professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.   This role is a 3 month contract with the possibility to extend to 6 months.  This will be at an a hourly rate of $75hr- $110/hr at a max of  37.50 hour work week.

 

Pricing is one of the most powerful levers a company can pull to maximize revenue and profitability. In this role, you'll be part of a team and help in executing IDC's strategic pricing initiatives in 2025 that align with business goals, market trends, and customer behavior --ensuring that our offerings remain competitive and value-driven. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us realize both short- and mid-term growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of strategic pricing initiatives to drive revenue growth and business value for IDG
  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Dive deep into pricing data, customer insights, and market trends to develop informed, competitive pricing models
  • Analyze large datasets containing transactional data to generate actionable insights
  • Execute price simplification and customer price remediation projects to optimize pricing efficiency and drive profitable growth
  • Oversee pricing strategy implementation and ensure adherence to policies. 
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations teams to roll out new pricing policies  
  • Address operational pricing challenges and streamline processes
  • Role duration: 3 month contract with the possibility to extend to 6 months

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA or MS) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing strategy, pricing analytics, or revenue management within a consulting or B2B environment. Experience in SaaS, technology, manufacturing, or professional services industries is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint proficiency for financial modeling. Must be comfortable working with large datasets and translating insights into clear, executive friendly presentations.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, R, or Python for data visualization and analytics is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to present findings and influence leadership decisions through data-backed storytelling.
  • Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

This is a remote position and may be located in any approved location in the United States. East Coast is preferred.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total hourly compensation for this contract role, depending on location and experience, is between $75 and $100 an hour.
