Overview

IDC is seeking a Lead Government Contracts Administrator to support our compliance, sales, and operational teams to oversee reporting, compliance, and regulatory adherence for our U.S. federal contracts. This role will predominantly support our US government contracts with a minor focus in the global contracts in partnership with the compliance team.  This role ensures our organization meets all federal requirements, mitigates risk, and maintains operational efficiency in contract management. This role is also critical for our ability to grow our business within both the federal market and SLED. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS, GSA schedules, and federal reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific requirements
  • Contract Oversight: Manage the lifecycle of federal contracts, including modifications, renewals, and closeouts
  • Regulatory Adherence: Oversee compliance with cybersecurity (e.g., CMMC, NIST 800-171), labor laws, small business subcontracting plans, and other federal mandates
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit required reports (e.g., GSA sales reporting, SAM.gov updates, CPARS reviews)
  • Internal Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, and sales teams to ensure contract terms are understood and executed properly
  • Audit Readiness: Maintain thorough records and support internal/external audits and government reviews
  • Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks and proactively implement solutions
  • Serve as primary point of contact with the GSA
  • Complete and manage registration/licensing requirements for Federal, State, and Local Agencies
  • Collaborate with Sales Account Executives/Management for external client/prospect calls with Government contract officers specific to contract negotiations, bids/proposals, RFP submittals and protests

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of government contracts management experience including proposal development, contract negotiation, business development, compliance, and accounting
  • Strong written, analytical, verbal communication, time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels within a company and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Prior market research industry, or services industry experience a plus
  • An ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, collaborative, and a self-starter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Up to 25% travel
  • Ideally be located in the greater Washington DC area

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $110,000. and $122,000. and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
