Overview

IDC is seeking a dynamic and results-drive Senior Vice President (SVP), Product  to join our dynamic customer-centric sales team. As SVP, Product, you will be responsible for shaping and executing IDC's product vision. You will lead with clarity in a fast-evolving landscape, balancing short-term delivery with long-term capability building. This role requires a strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity, is deeply collaborative, and is passionate about building impactful products that serve the research and commercial organizations.

Responsibilities

Strategic Vision & Market Leadership
Distinguish between genuine shifts in customer behavior and temporary noise.
- Interpret competitive moves and macroeconomic signals to inform product strategy.
- Experience with the impact of AI on product strategy and customer value.
- Provide clarity and direction in uncharted territory, especially where no precedent exists.
Customer-Centric Product Innovation
- Synthesize insights from qualitative research, quantitative data, analysts, sales conversations, and market research.
- Identify true customer jobs-to-be-done and separate what customers say they want from what they actually need.
- Evaluate product decisions through the lens of long-term business sustainability, including unit economics, CAC, retention, and viability.
Business Acumen and Commercial Impact
Demonstrated experience owning and influencing product-related P&L, revenue growth, and monetization strategies; deep understanding of customer lifetime value and pricing models.
Strategic thinker adept at aligning product strategy with financial objectives, optimizing product portfolios for maximum revenue impact and customer value.
Track record of collaborating closely with executive leadership and finance teams to shape financial strategy, business models, and profitability goals
Execution Excellence & Prioritization
Ruthlessly prioritize among competing opportunities to focus on the few that drive outsized impact.
- Apply strong analytical frameworks and make tough trade-offs with conviction.
- Balance short-term execution with long-term product capability building.
- Develop and deliver a product roadmap with urgency and precision.
Cross-Functional Influence & Collaboration
- Lead through vision, data, and trust --not hierarchy.
- Align stakeholders across research, commercial, and technology teams around shared outcomes.
- Build trust through inclusive behavior and transparent reporting.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure product-market fit and organizational alignment.
Operational Judgment & Hands-On Leadership
- Demonstrate sound judgment in build, buy, partner decisions, using frameworks that weigh core competency, time-to-market, and total cost of ownership.
- Be deeply involved in the work --not just a delegator.
- Roll up your sleeves to build product muscle and organizational capability over time.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of product experience
  • Master Degree  is required. MBA preferred.
  • Skilled at influencing across the organization, managing expectations transparently, and guiding teams through periods of product evolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate a clear product vision and strategic direction, coupled with the hands-on capability to establish foundational product management practices.
  • Ideally, experience in in technology, market research or adjacent industries
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
  • Hands-on, execution-oriented leadership style.

At IDC US, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $350,000 and $450,000 USD and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
