Overview

IDC is seeking an experienced and visionary Director, Product Leader to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our product portfolio serving technology buyers—including CIOs, enterprise architects, procurement, and strategic technology planning teams. This is a senior-level role within the Product organization responsible for deeply understanding the evolving needs of enterprise technology decision-makers and translating those needs into high-impact, research and AI-driven products that deliver tangible business value.

This individual will lead cross-functional initiatives to develop solutions that help technology buyers make faster, more informed, and more confident decisions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience building successful digital products for this audience, grounded in a deep understanding of their day-to-day responsibilities, workflows, and pain points.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and strategy for IDC’s solutions targeted at technology buying centers, including but not limited to CIOs, heads of IT strategy and planning, enterprise architects, and digital transformation leaders.
  • Conduct ongoing customer research and validation to understand the jobs to be done, decision-making processes, and unmet needs of technology buyers.
  • Partner closely with research, data, and go-to-market teams to define and execute a roadmap of scalable, differentiated offerings that leverage IDC’s market intelligence, insights, and proprietary data.
  • Translate customer pain points into intuitive digital workflows, leveraging modern AI capabilities to improve relevance, personalization, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, and data science teams to bring new products and features to market on time and within scope.
  • Monitor usage, satisfaction, and business impact metrics to continuously improve product experience and retention.
  • Serve as an internal thought leader on technology buyer personas, influencing product and company strategy.
  • Stay ahead of trends in enterprise tech buying behaviors, procurement processes, and strategic IT planning.
  • Support specific strategic sales engagements and deals with CIOs and VPs of IT, working closely with sales leadership to ensure product alignment with customer needs and deal success.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or digital product leadership, with at least 5 years focused on enterprise technology buyer audiences.
  • Proven track record of building successful products for CIOs, enterprise architects, sourcing, and/or strategic planning roles.
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise tech buying lifecycle and the jobs these roles need to accomplish.
  • Strong ability to identify and articulate pain points, evaluate solution spaces, and prioritize opportunities based on business value.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering AI-enabled digital products, including workflow tools, insight delivery systems, and/or enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent execution and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to operate in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with IDC’s ecosystem or a similar market intelligence business.

At IDC US, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $250,000 and $280,000 USD and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
