This role can be located remotely in New York City, New Jersey or Southern Connecticut region.

Responsibilities

  • Create/deploy solution selling techniques to rapidly grow and expand the designated end user territory within F1000 enterprises
  • Create and deliver highly effective presentations on IDC's offerings to executive decision makers and identify prospect needs across a diverse set of organizations
  • Identify prospective needs and create winning proposals for the sale of IDC's offerings.
  • Possess or be able to gain quick knowledge about important IT and industry issues across Energy, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Government and Financial Services
  • Able to earn and/or secure business relationships with this important end client set, have an understanding of IT vendors serving those industry's needs, and be able to craft winning relationships with potential clients
  • Combination of individual work and team selling with analysts, consultants, and other IDC sales professionals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of direct sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, verbal communication, time management and organizational skills - Majority of experience should be hunting within F1000 entities in the private sector
  • Demonstrate success working independently to sell complex goods and services to the office of the CIO/CTO and/or their business lines
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels within a company and the ability to set a sales strategy to develop new business as well as incremental sales with existing clients
  • Prior market research industry, or technical, sales experience is a plus
  • Ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, collaborative, and a self-starter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce.com and Sales Enablement Tools
  • Located within the New York City, Southern Connecticut or New Jersey area.

At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $200,000 and $245,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation.
